5 Mee Rebus stalls to try in Singapore!

Mee Rebus which directly translates to “boiled noodles” in English is a Malay noodle dish that is thickened with potatoes. It is a popular dish here in Singapore and is usually topped with hard-boiled egg, spring onions, beansprouts, crispy fried shallots. I have tried 5 Muslim stalls and compiled them into a list. All of them are Muslim owned, thus halal. enjoy~

1) Rahim Muslim Food

Omg, it was so good!!!!!!! They added the satay sauce above and you stir it~ It makes the whole taste kind of sweet and spicy? Savory taste? They also give you a huge chunk of chicken similar to their Mee Soto. must try. must try. must try! Recommended to order the Power Mee Rebus.

Rahim Muslim Food is a longstanding shop located at Ang Mo Kio and they have over 60 years of experience. No wonder this plate of mee rebus was so good!

Address: 453A, Ang Mo Kio Ave 10, Chong Boon Market, Stall unit number #01-01, Singapore 560453
Opening Hours: 12.30 pm - 7 pm
Closed on Sunday

2) Afandi Hawa & Family Mee Rebus

Afandi Hawa & Family Mee Rebus is located at Haig Market and Food Centre. Just from the viscosity of the gravy, I was excited already. lolol This apparently thickened with sweet potato puree and the gravy was made using shrimps, flower crab, and mutton, Surprisingly it's not very sweet but savory instead,  This was topped with spring onions, green chili, fried shallots, lime, and coriander.

Another longstanding shop that has been operating since 1967. That's almost 54 years already!

Address: 14 Haig Rd, #01-21, Singapore 430014
Opening Hours: 10.30 am - 8 pm
Closed on Wednesday

3) Yunos N Family

What a comforting meal this was! Yunos N Family should be familiar with people living at Ang Mo Kio. They have been around since 1979. lol, The recommended dish to order here is the Mee Rebus. They have a lot of options for Mee Rebus and I chose the drumstick. The gravy was a bit gritty but rich and nutty! This comes with an egg, tau kwa, chili, dried shrimps, and halved lime.

Address: 724 Ang Mo Kio Ave 6, Singapore 560724
Opening Hours: 11 am - 9 pm
Closed on Sunday

4) Siti Nur Liyana Nasi Lemak

I actually tried the Nasi Lemak at Siti Nur Liyana Nasi Lemak before but it seems like their Mee Rebus is more famous. They're located at Adam Food Centre which is home to quite a few famous Nasi Lemak Stalls.

The Mee Rebus here is topped with green chili, boiled egg, bean sprout, calamansi, and lots of shallots. The broth here is on the sweeter side.

Address: Adam Road Food Centre
2 Adam Rd, Stall 14, Singapore 289876
Opening Hours: Mon-Wed, Fri - Sun 6.30 am – 10 pm
Closed on Thursday

5) Inspirasi

Inspirasi is another long-standing Muslim stall that started very early in 1970. They are located at the Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre. The must-try here is the Mee Rebus featuring a thick and mildly spiced gravy with well-balanced flavors. Some are not spicy at all. I added a begedil for extra 50 cents.

Address: 208B New Upper Changi Road #01-11, Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre, Singapore 460207
Opening Hours: 12 pm - 9.30 pm
